Captain Julian Rigby (of Nevis) is originally from England, where he obtained his license.
He navigated may many vessels through the English Channel and Europe. He subsequently purchased his own fishing boat and soon became the most successful fisherman in the town of Broadstairs. Captain Rigby moved to
Nevis, and fell in love with the island.
He has been conducting scuba diving and fishing charters since 1989.
His knowledge of fishing is exceptional. Julian has participated in and won many fishing tournaments throughout the islands (St. Kitts, Nevis, Antigua, St. Maarten and Montserrat) where his natural talent for the sport is well known and respected.
Julian and his wife Tracy, are the main organizers for the very
popular Nevis Yacht Club Sports Fishing Tournament held annually in October at Oualie Beach. The tournament has
doubled in attendance each year with boats attending from St. Thomas, Angullia, St. Maarten (Dutch) and St. Martin (French) St. Barths, St. Kitts, Montserrat, Antigua, Guadeloupe and Nevis. An
event not to be missed.

Captain Ian Gonzaley is a native of Nevis and has worked with Nevis Water Sports since 1993. In 1996 he
captained one of our vessels in the 2nd annual Nevis Yacht Club fishing tournament, and won the tournament. In 1999, against 16 other boats Captain Ian once again proved himself an excellent
Captain by winning the tournament aboard Sea Brat.
As a youth he enjoyed
fishing with his grandfather, one of the premier fishermen on Nevis. As a teenager he dove for both Conch and Lobster.
In his leisure time Ian can often be found teaching children the correct way to cast, and the importance of protecting the fishing habitat. Ian
stresses the fact that in order for Nevis to be a viable fishing environment, that is important to release the immature fish, and to catch only what you use. In short Captain Gonzaley is a competent fisherman, who has exceptional knowledge of the Nevis fishing grounds and is environmentally conscious We consider Captain Ian to be a valuable asset to our business, and are sure you will find his experience helpful too.
